At Smile Advantage, Ryan leads a nationally recognized dental membership platform that empowers practices to offer in-house plans with ease, replacing traditional insurance with predictable revenue and lasting patient loyalty.
Ryan’s journey with Smile Advantage began through a relationship with the company’s co-founders, Dr. Jeff Sindelar and Dr. Matt Kraner, who had been building an in-house membership model inside their own practices since 2014. Recognizing the potential to scale their vision through technology, Ryan joined the team in 2019 and quickly became the bridge between clinical insight and product development.
He recruited long-time collaborator and full-stack developer Ben Leivian, and together they rebuilt the platform from the ground up, designed around real dental workflows rather than adapted financial tools. That effort transformed Smile Advantage from a local consulting operation into a national platform supporting practices across the country.
