Understanding your membership program’s performance shouldn’t require exporting data to spreadsheets or piecing together insights from multiple screens. That’s why we’ve added visual analytics directly to your Smile Advantage dashboard.
See Your Trends at a Glance
The new dashboard charts provide immediate visibility into two critical metrics: transaction volume and renewal activity. Instead of relying on gut feeling or manual calculations, you can now see exactly how your membership program is performing over time.
Transaction Volume Chart
The transaction volume chart displays payment trends across your membership and in-office channels over the past 3-6 months (adapting to your available data history).
What you’ll see:
- Total transaction value by month
- Breakdown between membership renewals and in-office payments
- Month-over-month trends and patterns
- Seasonal variations in your payment activity
This visualization helps you answer questions like:
- Is our total transaction volume growing?
- What’s the balance between membership and in-office revenue?
- Are there seasonal patterns we should plan for?
Renewal Activity Chart
The renewal activity chart tracks membership renewals over time, distinguishing between recurring (automatic) and one-time renewals.
What you’ll see:
- Total renewals processed each month
- Split between recurring and one-time memberships
- Renewal velocity trends
- Impact of retention initiatives
This helps you understand:
- Is our renewal rate improving?
- Are more members choosing recurring vs. one-time plans?
- How effective are our retention efforts?
Designed for Quick Insights
The charts are intentionally simple and focused. We didn’t add dozens of metrics that require a data analyst to interpret. Instead, you get the key indicators that matter most for running a healthy membership program.
Color-Coded Data Series
Each data type uses consistent colors across the platform:
- Membership transactions: One color for easy identification
- In-office transactions: A distinct color for clear separation
- Recurring renewals: Differentiated from one-time renewals
Automatic legends appear when multiple data series are displayed, so you always know what you’re looking at.
Adaptive Time Ranges
The charts intelligently adjust their time range based on your data:
- New offices see shorter ranges as data accumulates
- Established offices see up to 6 months of history
- The display adapts to show meaningful comparisons
Smart Empty States
If you’re a new customer or don’t have data for a particular metric, you’ll see a helpful message instead of a confusing blank chart. No need to wonder if something is broken.
Making Data-Driven Decisions
Visual analytics enable better decision-making:
Identify growth opportunities. See which months have historically been strong and plan marketing accordingly.
Spot problems early. A declining trend line prompts investigation before the problem becomes serious.
Measure initiative impact. Launch a new retention campaign and watch the renewal chart to see results.
Communicate with stakeholders. Share clear visuals with partners or leadership instead of raw numbers.
Complements Your Existing Dashboard
The analytics charts join your existing dashboard elements:
- Active membership counts
- Upcoming renewals
- Action items requiring attention
- Quick access to member management
Everything you need to run your membership program is in one place.
Available Now
Dashboard analytics are automatically available to all Smile Advantage customers. Simply log in to your dashboard to see your charts. No configuration needed. The system generates charts based on your transaction history.
Offices with more historical data will see richer visualizations immediately. Newer offices will see their charts populate as transaction history accumulates.
